Hello! My name is Laura and I am a self-taught artist from New Jersey. I work in a wide variety of mediums and have been creating since I could hold a brush/pencil.
Art is my soul work and healing therapy. Exploring all the beautiful and glorious colors, animals and peoples of the world brings me joy and peace along with questions and challenges and that is why I love it so! Something new – be it subject or medium – is always calling out and presenting itself.
My style ranges from realistic landscapes, portraits of people and pets to various abstract mixed media. I work in oils, acrylics, watercolor, charcoal, pen & ink (to name a few) and love using repurposed and found objects in my mixed media. I do gallery pieces and commission work as well. As a human and artist, I will never stop learning and experimenting with new techniques and expanding my talents. This reflects in ever changing and evolving pieces of art.
